What are the entry requirements?
We'll ask you to have, or expect to get, four GCSEs at Grade C or above, or the equivalent, including Maths, English and a Science/Technical subject.

When do apprentice recruits start?
The starting dates begin in late July and run to early September, depending on the area you want to join. In every case, there's a two-day business induction immediately prior to the start date.

How long after I submit my application should I expect to wait before hearing whether I've reached the next round?
We'll always aim to let you know within three weeks by email or telephone.

What is the salary and benefits package?
As a new apprentice, you'd earn between £8,410 - £9,254. That figure will rise to £20,500 - £22,000 when you complete your training and become a fully qualified craftsperson.
As you progress through the programme and complete certifications, your salary will increase. In addition, you'll be eligible for our occupational pension scheme and we may contribute to your driving lessons. You'll also receive at least 23 days holiday (excluding Bank Holidays) and protective work clothing and equipment.

I have applied before, can I re-apply?
Yes. If you have previously applied to our Apprenticeship, you are welcome to apply for our 2008 intake.

Are there any age restrictions?
To apply, you need to be 16 or over on 1 September 2008. This is the only age restriction as there is no upper age limit.

We'll see how you got on over your time with us and we'll support you in finding and securing a suitable role. What's more, you'll have access to the entire internal E.ON job market.

I need a work permit to work in the UK. Can I still apply?
We are only able to consider applications from individuals with the permanent right to work in the UK. To be considered you must meet one of the following criteria:
- Be a British Citizen
- Have a Certificate of Entitlement of Right of Abode (either in the form of a British passport or have the 'Right of Abode' stamp endorsed in your passport.)
- Be a citizen of a country belonging to the European Economic Area (EEA) or be a Swiss passport holder
- Have indefinite leave to enter or remain in the UK with no time limit stated
I am disabled. Can I still apply?
