On our Engineering Leadership scheme, you'll work closely with the engineers who are changing the future of energy. You'll learn how they think, how they tackle problems, and how they turn good ideas into great ideas. What's more, you'll have your own mentor and receive support towards earning Chartered status. It's the perfect spark to your career.
What you'll do
On our two year Engineering Leadership scheme, you'll do a series of six month placements, including one overseas. You'll get a taste of our conventional and renewable energy departments, and gain valuable insights into our business, and the industry as a whole. One month, you could be designing network connections for biomass generators; the next you might be finding ways to reduce carbon emissions, or helping to run our power stations. The possibilities never stop. And neither will you.
What you'll need to bring
You'll need at least a 2:1 (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Electrical or Electrical and Electronic Engineering. You should have sharp analytical skills, a knack for thinking outside the box, and the ability to work well with others. A desire to work internationally and speak a foreign language would also help.
