By joining our Science and Engineering Excellence scheme, you'll work closely with the scientists and engineers who are changing the future of energy.And you'll start picking up the skills and experience to become an expert yourself.
What you'll do
On our Science and Engineering Excellence scheme, you'll help shape the technology we use. You might help to identify cheaper, greener and more efficient technologies, or find the best way to use our existing systems.
The scheme lasts 18 months. You'll join a team based in the Nottingham area, and you'll get further experience on an international placement for around 4 months too. Wherever you're working, you'll be involved in a variety of projects, learn from international experts, and gain lots of exposure to our global business. So much so, that you'll soon be well on your way towards Chartered status.
What you'll need to bring
You'll need at least a 2:1 (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering or science discipline (see the 'Apply Now' section for details of the roles available on this scheme and the degree disciplines we accept). You'll have sharp analytical skills, lots of initiative, and a knack for working well with others. A second language would be great, and you will need to be willing to work internationally.
And to top it off, you'll have a real passion for tackling complex energy issues.
