Electricity substations

What does a Substation look like?

An electricity substation can look like many things, sometimes they are easy to spot, but sometimes they are not so easy to recognise.

If your ball or other belonging has fallen into a substation, or if you see the doors open or broken fences, call us using the number on the warning sign and we will come and rescue it for you.

33,000 Volts SubstationThis is a 33,000 Volts Substation - not as large as a Grid Substation but still very dangerous. There may be several 33,000 Volts substations in a city or large town, but you might see them out in the countryside as well.

11,000 Volts substationThis is an 11,000 Volts substation, these are a lot smaller than a Grid Substation but are still very dangerous to go inside. 11,000 Volts Substations can sometimes look very different.
