Live network information

In this area you will find information about supply interruptions we’re currently aware of across central England. The link above takes you to an interactive map displaying live information about our network.

The red and green dots show high/low voltage planned and unplanned power interruptions across the various counties.

An unplanned interruption is a power cut due to an unexpected event such as a cable fault or extreme weather.

Planned power interruptions allow us to safely carry out essential maintenance and improvements on our network.

After accessing the map you can click on a county to get more information – including the number of customers currently without power. To display detailed information about each interruption click the coloured marker on the map. To change between Fault and Planned Work Information click 'Display Fault Information' or 'Display Planned Work Information'.

Information is automatically updated every 5 minutes. Please use the link above to the live network map.

Estimated restoration times are based on current information and will be updated as more information becomes available.

Why has my power gone off?

We aim to keep your lights on all year round however from time to time, power may go off for a variety of reasons, such as bad weather, faults on our equipment and vandalism.

In order to help improve our performance, we have a £1.2 billion investment programme currently being delivered across the region. We’re replacing and refurbishing old equipment and improving the reliability of your electricity supply. To do this work safely, and to make permanent repairs when our equipment has been damaged, we may need to take you off supply for a short while. When we do this, we will always give you advanced warning.
