Planning permission for a 1,200MW gas-fired power station was granted in October 2007. The consent came with a condition for CHP capability to be built into the plant should a customer come forward that was economically viable.

On 9th April 2010 this consent was extended by DECC with an expiry date of 16th October 2012. Subsequently we have secured a further extension to the consent until October 2015 and a grid connection has been secured until 2014
