The onshore elements of the project include:

• a landfall to bring the electricity to shore
• a cable route to accommodate up to 150kV underground cables between the landfall and substation
• a new substation at the grid connection point
• tree removal/planting and landscaping around the substation
• temporary or permanent diversion of the public footpaths crossing the route of the onshore works described above.
