Half Hourly meter operation
     
We have a dedicated metering technical team to meet your Half Hourly metering demands with the appropriate skills and experience.
Half Hourly metering allows you to monitor and control your energy consumption and manage your carbon footprint. This advanced technology provides you with detailed feedback on your consumption patterns so you can monitor your energy usage, validate your bills and negotiate costs with your supplier. You can also nominate the meter operator, data collector and data aggregator of your choice.

Non Half Hourly meter operations

We offer a full range of meter operations services including installing and maintaining electricity meters for both domestic and commercial consumers. This service encompasses data management, meter provision, new meter installation and meter maintenance.

Smart

Inaccurate and estimated energy bills will become a thing of the past over the next few years with the advent of smart metering for both domestic and commercial properties.

New technology allows meters – both electricity and gas – to be read by remote means such as SMS. Energy Services has been testing this technology for the past eighteen months and installing smart electricity meters in over 8,000 small commercial, industrial and domestic properties across the Midlands.

This has been a big success, providing more accurate meter readings and allowing customers to monitor their energy usage and change their behaviours to reduce consumption and carbon emissions.

Isolator Installation
 
Due to the current demand for refurbished properties, we have developed a proposition for local authorities and developers so they can deliver a continuous rolling program of works. Instead of the usual requirement to contact the energy supplier of each property, we will provide a means of isolation so the electrical contractors can isolate the incoming supply as and when required.

Managed sites (metered new connections)

If a developer has more than six new connections required at any one time, we will provide a service specifically designed to offer the flexibility needed to meet the developer’s changing demands on a day-to-date basis. To do this, the supplier gives us the on-site management and we, in return, provide the supplier with all the required data as each plot is connected.

Condition 19 services

Pre-disconnection visits:

We offer a pre-disconnection visit following contact by a supplier where we strive to achieve full payment from the customer. We always take a meter reading and perform basic safety checks.   Customers are advised of different payment methods and we note if the customer is vulnerable. We contact the supplier whilst on site if the account is disputed or the customer confirms it has been paid. Repeat visits will be made as necessary to gain access.

Site Assist Visit

In the event of unsuccessful outcomes from pre-disconnection visits, a supplier may appoint a debt collection agency. We will accompany the debt collection agent to the property in order to carry out any requisite metering work.

Warrant

We can also obtain a warrant via the courts at the request of a supplier and carry out a subsequent visit in the event of unsuccessful outcomes from pre-disconnection visits.   Further contact will be made with the customer before a warrant visit and we will phone the supplier immediately before executing a warrant to check the work is still required.

Meter refurbishment and repair
 
We operate a state-of-the-art meter station and demonstrate our commitment to the environment by extending the life of our meters by repairing and recalibrating them. New meters are given Ofgem approval and leading edge technology is trialed and tested.

Meter Asset Provision                

We support a full range of electricity meters, from low voltage whole current to low and high voltage CT operated and have the technical capability to develop and deliver smart and innovative solutions. We also support domestic gas metering, and in both electricity and gas markets we have the capability to develop and provide remote communication to our enhanced metering products.
