Who can give me technical advice or do a site visit before filling out a form?
Most jobs can be quoted without doing a site visit. Once your application form has been received it will be assessed by an engineer who will decide if a site visit is required.
I want to move my meter/supply, how do I go about it?

The new supply application form asks me what kVA I require. Why can't you tell me this?
We have to design to suit the load that you have requested and getting this load right is important to allow us to give an accurate design and quotation. It is important for you so that you get the right supply that you need. It is advisable to discuss your requirements with an electrical contractor.

I am having a new machine delivered on Friday and want to know if my supply has the capacity to take the extra load.
You will need to seek advice from an independent electrician who will be able to work this out for you.
I need the size of my tails increasing and a double pole isolator fitting. Will you do this for me?
You will need to contact your supplier who will arrange for this work to be carried out for you.
How can I find out how much I can increase my supply to?

You need a site location map from me, where can I get one from?
Location plans can be obtained by using A-Z street maps, or via the internet at multimap.com or ordsvy.gov.uk.

Why do we have to give you a map showing where my property is?
To offer you an accurate quotation we need to know the exact location of the property to be connected.
The mains cable is right outside my house. It's just a simple matter of making a connection. Why do you need to design and quote for a new connection?
The cable outside your property may not be a suitable point of connection for your requirements and maybe up to its maximum capacity. Once your application has been received our Design Engineer will be able to design your connection to meet current regulatory standards.
I have a shop and flat. I need a separate meter in the flat, but the supply is already in the shop. Why do I need to pay for a separate service when it is already there?

Do you fit the meter?
You need to contact your chosen supplier who will arrange for the meter to be fitted for you once the new service has been installed. It will be up to you to arrange with your supplier for the meter to be fitted.
